MASTERCLASS IN LARGE SCALE PAINTING

 

​This 3 to 5 day course will guide participants through some of the processes of making artist’s paint, telling your story and working on large scale.

 

It will provide an opportunity to create work in the landscape and in the studio. The first day focuses on paint making and paint making techniques in the studio and then painting at the studio gardens, the other days will be painting at site specific locations on the Penwith Heritage Coast, the beach and at the  2 acre painting field on bespoke large scale easels.

Pigment, paint, paper and canvas, provided but you are welcome to bring sketchbooks, brushes etc. More canvases can be purchased at an extra cost.

COMBINED 3 AND 5 DAY COURSES

Using the spaces available, the field, the studio and site specific locations be it coast or gardens to concentrate on individual artistic expression

*5 Day Residential courses in April, May, June, July & Aug: use of indoor and outdoor studios, tutoring upon request, gallery visits, pigment site visits, painting on the coast and stay in artist’s rural retreat on the SW coast path.

Full access to the studio for the week and accommodation but provides own materials (materials can be supplied at an extra cost) .
